Voluntary Dues
The IGWC asks members to pay voluntary and regular dues to provide a reliable source of funding for covering costs associated with organizing, bargaining, and hosting social events that benefit organizing. While IGWC has a strong reserve of hardship money, we also require funds for generalized expenses.
Voluntary Dues FAQ
How much should I pay in voluntary dues? And how often should I pay?
Per a General Assembly vote, voluntary dues are recommended at $32 per month. This amount equals 1.44% of our lowest paid SAA salary ($22,000). Voluntary dues keep our union strong!
Who do I contact if I have questions?
Voluntary dues are coordinated by the Chief Financial Officer, who will report on dues and our budget to the Coordinating Committee and General Assembly. The Coordinating Committee oversees the voluntary dues collection process.
